The Jewellery Council of South Africa has announced the launch of Jewellex365, a new online platform that connects jewellers to vetted suppliers.
Jewellex365 initially emerged as a response to the limitations imposed by Covid-19 lockdowns that had significantly affected the regular exhibition space.
Purpose of Jewellex 365
Jewellex 365 serves as an online exhibition space, providing an alternative to the customary annual Jewellex exhibition.
One important thing to note is that Jewellex365 is not an online purchasing platform, instead it is an opportunity for suppliers to showcase their offerings and encourage potential customers to submit an enquiry.
The platform is designed to connect the industry to buyers and vice versa, all year round, and offer more opportiunities for connection than traditional in-person events like Jewellex.
This initiative helps in keeping our industry connected and engaged, even in the face of adversities such as the pandemic.
How it Benefits Jewellers and Suppliers
Jewellex365 is curated to offer multiple benefits to jewellers in South Africa including:
- Direct Connection: The platform facilitates direct interactions between buyers and exhibitors without any third-party involvement. All participants are vetted, ensuring a secure and reliable environment for business engagements.
- Product Showcase: Exhibitors have the opportunity to upload their company details, product listings, and images. This feature is instrumental for jewellers looking to launch new products and gain visibility in the market.
- Accessibility: Unlike the traditional annual exhibition, Jewellex 365 operates 365 days a year, providing continuous access to a network of verified vendors offering quality products and services.
- Cost-Effective Participation: With an annual subscription fee, exhibitors can display up to 250 products, create a custom company profile, and make community announcements, making it a cost-effective platform for business promotion.
Through Jewellex 365, the Jewellery Council of South Africa not only offers a viable platform for business continuity in challenging times but also embraces the digital transformation wave sweeping across the South African jewellery industry.
